High-quality Soviet WW2 medal reproduction military award, "For the Defence of Kiev," with a pin at the back. Silver-plated metal alloy 3.2 cm diameter medal, weight 18g.

On the obverse of the medal is a relief image of the building of the Supreme Soviet of the Ukrainian SSR with a flag waving from its rooftop mast. Against the background of the building are relief images of a red soldier, a red sailor, a worker, and a woman, all guerrillas facing left. Top inscription "For the Defence of the Kiev".
On the reverse of the medal are Hammer and Sickle and the motto, "For our Soviet motherland".
